Vintage 1983 Variflex Slider

With a formica base and topsheet. 100% original and no reproduction parts. This was a direct knockoff of the Burton Backyard. Variflex was a skateboard company now trying to capitalize the new trend of snowboarding. This is a rare board already but most of these boards were made with a painted top and base, this one has factory installed formica on the base for speed and durability.

The formica base is in mint to excellent condition with only superficial signs of wear and minor dings. The waterski handlebar and rope are original and came with the board. The rope has a 3” section where there are some signs of fraying and the foam on the handle shows signs of age. The base looks like it is in mint condition unless you hold it up to the light. Then you can see several minor scratches. The sidewalls have lost some of the white paint, but overall this board is in great shape.
