The Voile V-Tail Splitboard bows humbly at the feet of Dimitrije Milovich. As the original founder of Winterstick, he gave the world of backcountry snowboarding an idea that has stood the test of time – The Swallowtail. The swallowtail snowboard is an unreal feeling and a way to carve super deep, in the deep stuff. The basic idea behind the shape consists of a highly navigate nose, coupled with a fork shaped tail that drops into the snow and puts up a tail behind you that will make anyone swoon. Back in 1999, Voile gifted the world their "195 Swallowtail, a split version of the sacred design, with the versatility to become a tool to help you reach the greater heights and goodies. After several years of sleeping in a snow cave, Voile Manufacturing has proudly resurrected a new swallowtail splitboard that is called the Voile V-Tail. With a medium flex, this long camber length makes for awesome skinning capabilities with a rockered nose that helps even more with efficiency. A cap construction, Aspen cor and carbon-fiber construction gives it a nice lighter weight for such a beast of a board. A 2mm steel edge completely follows the interior of the v-tail shape.
