Few snowboards out there have created a cult following as quickly as the Jones Hovercraft did when it first came out, and there's good reason for this… it's mind-blowingly good! At first glance, you might eschew it as a boutique powder board, but there's so much more than just a quiver-builder here. It's actually one of the best one-board-quiver boards we have in-store… IF you don't ride switch except for that rare occasion that you have to go backwards to get yourself out of trouble. The camber between the bindings and underfoot gives you massive pop, response, and precision to work with, but unlike traditional camber boards, the Hovercraft is easy as pie to ride. That's because of the rockered nose, Spoon technology, and the bevelled contact points. It rips like a camber board, but is forgiving and catch-free like a rocker board, best of both worlds! The enormous nose is unnoticeable on your average groomer day, but once you get into the deep powder, you'll be blown away by how well you float over and cut through the white room, it's totally effortless! The moon tail out back cuts out unneeded weight while improving float by allowing the tail to sink (which cause the nose to lift up, ya dig?) but it's still plenty long enough to provide stable landing gear when you get sendy. Mellow Magne-Traction is the icing on the cake for those windswept, sub-zero groomer days, the sort of days that you used to dread because it'd mean falling on your ass all day and bruising your tail-bone on the ice, but no more of that, you'll be gripping like a vice in such conditions with the Hovercraft! Carving ability is out of the world, so no worries there, and even freestyle is fun too! As long as, of course, you only ride in your native direction. And tree runs? Forget about it! The Hovercraft eats tree runs for breakfast! For the fella that only rides one way, the Hovercraft truly is a board for every day of the year.
