Sims Vintage 1978 Lonnie Toft Skiboard (Snowboard)

This rare example of a modified Flying Yellow Banana equipped with a Sims skateboard deck. The deck was not removed for posititve identification but it looks like a Lonnie Toft deck. The grip tape is showing its age and is a very aggressive grit. There is a “Toft Designs” sticker and a “ski board” sticker under the original griptape.

The deck is structurally sound, the bungee binding strap is original and says “made is the USA” on the backside. The nuts and bolts holding the bungee strap are shiny and new looking and I am not sure if they are era correct and may have been added during modifications.

The Yellow Banana “skiboard” is in poor condition, it has a hole drilled in the nose and the nose has been broken and repaired. The Sims winglogo sticker on the nose has been trimmed, there is a second “skiboard” sticker on the Sims logo sticker. The base has several scratches and dings along with 8 extra holes drilled for fins.

This board came from ex-Sims pro skater Fallmer and has OG history.
