Vintage 1976 Skiboard "Incredible Flying Banana"

The “Yellow Banana” board was being produced in the late 70’s as a standalone snow toy before Bob Webber and Tom Sims started mounting Sims Skateboards to them calling them skiboards or some know them as Lonnie Toft Ski Boards. There are a lot of names this board has been called or known as over the years. Many of the boards that had skateboard decks mounted to them were modified with fins, custom cuts in the tail, and some even mounted old skis to the nose to keep it from folding in deep snow.

This board is in excellent to good condition with the only signs that it was ever used are several light surface scratches in the base. One of the rivets holding the blue sub deck on is missing. This board did not come with the optional hi backs shown in the newer ad photo.

This board has a registered trademark and patent numbers attached. The sub deck is in mint condition with straps and safety leash. The decal on the nose is in excellent condition with a couple small marks most likely form storage overall this is the best preserved skiboard the owner has ever found. It is über rare to find them this complete.
